I couldn’t agree more. We thought in the 60s under Kennedy and Johnson that the focus on poverty would bring in the single payer system. I was living in Canada during Nixon and experienced the health care system so demeaned by as communist and knew the deception that was paid for by the wealthy. Many of us were also seeing a chance in Clinton’s healthcare proposal and Obama’s ACA the opportunity for a single payer system by which the public could not just choose its Masters but be in power.

My only hope in the great Disruption and Deception of King Donald is that the working poor will wake up to it and finally stop the bribery of politicians and create a new economic order that achieves social justice. No the murder will not accomplish that, and I abhor violence, but at least it adds to waking up of the American people. John Brown (who can also be charged with “having a nut loose”) did not accomplish justice and freedom for the enslaved but those who keep the issue alive must use these events so people can see the system that by exploiting some, exploits us all. Those in the grip of the wealthy bribers will call it socialism, I call it social gospel, catholic social teaching, liberal democratic community organizing.
