I generally share your thoughts. I think this is what MLK meant by the Beloved Community. And Jesus too is one of my soul mates. I consider myself his companion and imagine that by reign of God, he was contrasting that with the reign of Caesar which is power defined as “monopoly of violence.” However, faith, thoughts, and prayers require action. Not waiting for some supernatural event around the return of Jesus or anyone else. We must take responsibility for bringing in and constructing the Beloved Community.
