I write philosophy, poetry, and politics to further my thinking. I use Medium and other venues to put it out in the public so I can see, know, and critique what I’m thinking from other points of view. Buddha Gautama, Sappho, Socrates, Jesus, may not have been writers at all. Their vision, hopes, and their interlocutors and publishers point to the possibilities of the human spirit to transcend itself. So as Chesterton said, “if it’s worth doing, it’s worth doing badly.”
